Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Port Penn Vol. Fire Company. Being a volunteer fireman is one of the most self satisfying acts one can do to help their community. Not only would you be protecting the Port Penn and surrounding areas, but you would become a part of a big family that works together to help those in need. All equipment and training would be provided by the fire company. We pride ourselves on the training we allow our members to attend.

Most of the training is done at the Delaware State Fire School, however we do send our members for National Certifications like the Swift Water Rescue Class held in Virgina. Even though there is no pay for what we do, there are several things that each member gets when they join. Some of the things are a fireman's pension through the State of Delaware, life insurance policy, free training, and friendships for a lifetime. There has been several members that have gained excellent careers in the public safety field with the training recieved from the fire service.
