On Wednesday at 0900 hrs the station was alerted for a patient with radiological exposure on Port Penn Rd. This was a graded drill with the Delaware Emergency Management Agency. A-29 responded with career staff Deery, career staff Willis and Asst. Chief Stuckert. A-29’s crew transported one victim to Christiana Hospital with injuries and possible radiation contamination. The crew received excellent scores on the drill which was evaluated by members of DEMA and FEMA. The New Castle County Emergency Services and the New Castle County Paramedics were also included in the exercise.
