On July 12th the New Castle County HACSAR team was alerted for a techincal rescue of an injured worker @ 80' in the air on a process stack within the Croda Plant on Cherry Lane in New Castle Delaware. RE 296 responded with a crew of 6 to assist with the operation. The crew of 296 operated in various support roles while the crew of WFD squad 4 climbed the tower and rigged the patient for a lowering operation. RE 296 cleared the rescue call after the patient was safely removed and were then sent to a mulch fire at Delaware Solid waste off of lambson lane in Holloway Terrace.
